BHS Students Look to the Future at Career Day 2021

Thanks to the many volunteers from the Business, Medical, Wellness, Hospitality, Police, Fire, Legal, Engineering, Art, Military, Education, and STEM fields, Career Day 2021 was a huge success at Burlington High School.

On November 9th, over fifty speakers from a wide range of professions shared insights on their work experience and training with our students. Speakers were both in-person and virtual when speaking with BHS Students. Speakers present to BHS juniors and seniors. Students in the ninth and tenth grade participated in a career inventory with their counselors, to help them better understand what post secondary careers or fields of study would fit them best.

This annual event is part of BHS’s Career Exploration Program, which is designed to help students identify their interests, explore various career opportunities, and connect their current learning to potential career paths.

We are grateful for parents, community members, and local businesses who shared their time and expertise with students. We were especially grateful for the numerous BHS graduates who came back to share their experiences with our students. Today’s event is evidence of the commitment our community, faculty, and staff have to ensure that BHS students are engaged in their work at school and that they have varied opportunities to grow both academically and personally.
