Boys Golf Faced the Bedford Buccaneers in Season Opener

Boys Golf kicked off the season on Friday, September 3rd at Patriot Golf Course in Bedford to take on a non-league match against the buccaneers. The Red Devils were ready to get back on the course for competitions.

“Our match versus Bedford was a nail biter,” Head Coach Bob Conceision said. “We were down by 10 points through six golfers, but the end of our lineup came through to give us a 37.5-34.5 non league win,” he said.

Junior Dillon O’Reilly came in second place during the match and won 6-3 over his opponent. As the team’s season begins to take shape, Coach Conceision is looking to see who will step up against the other competitors in the Middlesex League.

“The key going forward is to discover who can compete at the top as our top four golfers have graduated,” he said. “I’m looking forward to a competitive golf season in a great league against some very strong opponents.”

Burlington starts the season off at (1-0) and heads to Lexington to face the Minutemen on Wednesday, September 8.
