Boys Tennis Defeat Minnechaug Regional in Elite 8

The boys tennis team handled Minnechaug Regional in the Elite 8 Round of the Playoffs by a score of 4-1 and here were the results.,

Singles:
Ridhaan Ayyagari won 6-1 and 6-2.
Arnav Jhumat won 6-4 and 6-2.
Nathan Melanson won 6-1 and 7-5.

Doubles:
Casey Shannon/Matheus Torres lost 6-4 and 6-3.
Austin Li/Carter Briscoe went lost 4-6 in the first set and then won both the second and third set 6-2.

Wilmington:

Singles:
Ayyagari won 7-5 and 6-3 in the second and third set, but lost the first set 3-6.
Jhumat won his first and third sets 7-5 and 7-6 respectively, but lost in the second set 3-6.
Melanson won his first and third set both 6-3, but lost 7-5 in the second set.

Doubles:
Shannon/Torres won both of their sets 6-4 and 6-2, while Li/Briscoe lost both of their sets 6-0 and 6-2.

The team advances to the Semi-Finals on the road at the Walpole Timberwolves on Tuesday afternoon.
