Burlington Boys Varsity Hockey Upsets Number One Seed

The Burlington Boys Ice Hockey team traveled to Woburn to take on the Tanners in the Middlesex League Tournament on Wednesday, February 17.

At the time Woburn was ranked number one seed in the playoffs while the Red Devils were ranked number eight seed. The team had a strong battle against the Tanners and in the end they pulled off an upset against the number one seed Tanners. The final in the matchup was 4-1 Burlington.

Red Devils move on to the Semi Round of the ML tournament and will travel to Winchester on Thursday, February 18 at 3pm.

Robert Parris is BCAT’s Sports and Features Reporter. Robert first got involved with BCAT in January 2016 as a volunteer news reporter. Throughout the year, as a volunteer, he was busy developing his technical skills at the studio and his ENG skills in the field. In the summer of 2017, Robert joined the team full-time. He quickly settled into his role, providing all of the production support for our news programs, as well as providing weekly sports highlights. Robert also produces a weekly feature for BNEWS, as well as a monthly show called, BNEWS Sports Hub, and BCAT’s Game of the Week.
