Two Burlington businesses have been named to the Boston Globe’s annual “Top Places to Work 2023″ for having some of the happiest employees in the state: Millipore Sigma, a biopharmaceutical and life science company, and Progress, which specializes in enterprise software.
Millipore Sigma was listed 23 out of 25 in the Largest Companies group. Millipore Sigma’s biotech focuses on many aspects of science, healthcare and electronics.
Progress made Large Companies listing at number 6 out of 55. Progress develops enterprise software, which is software used by organizations rather than individual users.
This year, due to a strong survey response, the Globe expanded the list of winners to 175 companies with the happiest employees in the state. The Globe partners with Energage, an employee research firm, to survey nearly 76,000 workers at 347 organizations. Companies were divided in categories of; Largest, Large, Medium-size and Small Business.
According to the website bringmetoburlington.com, over 2,600 successful businesses employ approximately 40,000 people in Burlington in retail, information, and health sciences.
