Burlington firefighter-EMT Eric Holey has been placed on administrative leave amid an investigation into his conduct during a March 7 incident.
Boston 25 News reports Holey responded in an ambulance to a call for a 2-year-old child who was struggling to breathe; the child was treated successfully on the way to the hospital. Surveillance camera footage appears to show Holey crashing an ambulance into the Burlington Fire Station 2 on Terrace Hall Ave.
“FF-EMT Eric Holey was placed on paid administrative leave from his shift the morning of March 7 and has remained there as the Department investigates his conduct during the shift,” said Fire Chief Andrew Connerty. “He was involved in responding to an ambulance call prior to being placed on administrative leave. The FF-Paramedic in the ambulance successfully treated the patient during the transport to the hospital.”
