Burlington High School Fall Session II Practices Underway

The Pandemic has had a big impact on high school sports this year, preventing some teams from playing, forcing others to have a modified season and still others to change when they play altogether.

However, the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) and the high schools around the Commonwealth have worked together to help athletes get a chance to play during the pandemic.

Now that the Winter season has concluded for the Red Devils, the focus of organizers has shifted to what is in store for the Fall Session II season. BHS’s Fall Session II sports will be Boys Football, Girls Volleyball, Girls/Boys Indoor Track, Girls Cheerleading and Girls Indoor Swimming. Boys Indoor Wrestling was moved from the Winter Season into the Fall Session II, however at an early January MIAA Board of Directors Meeting they decided to move Wrestling to the Spring season instead.

Girls Volleyball will kick things off at BHS with a home opener against the Wilmington Wildcats on Saturday, March 6th. All three (Freshmen, JV and Varsity) volleyball matches will be live-streamed on BCAT’s Facebook page.

Girls Varsity Swimming will start March 13th. We will continue to update you on future events as they become scheduled.  The season will conclude on April 25.
