Burlington Police & Fire Departments Invite Residents to Attend Community Safety Night

The Burlington Police and Fire Departments will host their annual Community Safety Night in partnership with Wegmans and 3rd Ave in Burlington. The event is free and will be held the evening of Wednesday, Aug. 7 in the Wegmans parking garage from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Hot dogs, snacks, and other beverages will be provided. Personnel from the Burlington Fire and Police Departments and the Department of Public Works will be in attendance. Attendees will have the chance to get an up-close view of police cruisers, fire trucks, ambulances, and other equipment used by the town’s first responders. There will also be K-9 demonstrations.

“Community Safety Night is a great opportunity to gather and celebrate all of the wonderful people who make up our community,” said Burlington Fire Chief Andrew Connerty. “I hope our residents are able to attend. This event has become one of my favorite traditions.”

“I’d like to thank Wegmans and 3rd Ave Burlington for helping us put on Community Safety Night,” said Burlington Police Chief Thomas Browne. “We look forward to connecting with our community members in this fun, family-friendly environment.”
