Burlington Police Investigating After Two Pedestrians Were Struck by Motor Vehicle

Update:

Fox 25 Boston reports that the pedestrians injured were two women who were in a crosswalk. The outlet spoke to Mary Gildea, the mother of one of the women, 33-year old Maura, who was walking with her future sister-in-law when they were struck by a female driving the vehicle.

Gildea said her daughter suffered bleeding from her brain and multiple broken bones and was under intubation and that both women had multiple lascerations. She said both women are “going to be in pain for a long, long time.”

Witnesses at the scene, according to Fox 25, said the women were both sent airborne by the collision.

Police have not yet said whether the driver, who remained on the scene, will face any charges.
