The Mappers, Marshall Simonds Middle School’s 6th Grade Robotics team, recently earned the Rising All-Star Award at the American Robotics Open Championship Corp (AROC)’s First Lego League (FLL) Championship, held at the Liberty Science Center in New Jersey.
Competing among 52 top teams from across the country, The Mappers stood out for their innovation project , robot design , core-values and problem-solving—key qualities recognized by
FLL judges in awarding the Rising Star title. The Mappers team includes: Anaika Dutta, Aariyahi Agrawal, Christopher Jarvis, Connor
Capparelli, Even Krumlian, Gurhaan Pandey, Matthew Peckham, Nicholas Jarvis, and Shruti Vijaya Kumar. Heather Peckham and Matthew Jarvis are the team’s coaches.
Their award showcases the unity and determination that brought them to victory. Their custom-designed robot, with a thoughtful innovation project, impressed the judges.
Hosted at the iconic Liberty Science Center in New Jersey, the AROC brought together future scientists and engineers from across the Nation.
