Red Devils Wrestling took to the mats for an annual competition at the Tsongas Arena on December 27 and 28 for the George Bossi Lowell Holiday Tournament.

Burlington finished 30th out of 73 teams during the tournament. One highlight was that Junior Molly Moroney defeated Muhammad Sikkiqi of Windham NH 8-4, becoming the first female wrestler to win a match in Burlington High Wrestling history.

Other highlights include Senior Nick Silva in the 138 class and junior Ahmad Kiswani in the 182 weight class both winning two of their matches. Senior Ronan Noke won five out of seven matches and finished in seventh place.

Perhaps most impressive for the team, Senior Timmy Vadnais brought home Burlington’s 12th Lowell Holiday Title. He won his first three matches to reach the semi finals and then faced Rhode Island state finalist Mike Jarrell of East Greenwich where he pinned his opponent. He continued in the tourney as he faced Copper Kelley of Timberlane NH, a match he won 6-5.
