Burlington Youth Basketball announced that tryout registration for the 2018/19 season for students in grades 4 to 8 is now open. You can register here.
All participants must be registered prior to the tryouts and they must attend their scheduled tryout to be selected for a team. The tryout dates have not been determined yet, Burlington Youth Basketball says, but they are expected to take place in late September.
Additionally, information on the rookie program for students in grades 2 and 3 can be found on page 8 of the Burlington Parks & Recreation’s Fall Brochure.
Rookie League Basketball is a development program that focuses on how to play the game rather than running plays and winning games, a program description states. On Saturdays, each group will be broken into teams and will play cross court games of 4 on 4. In addition to the Saturday games, there will be midweek practices.
