Burlington Public Schools and HELPIS will host the 2025 Month of May Kindness Celebration on Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 10 a..m to 12 p.m. on the Burlington Town Common. Kindness is more than just a word, it’s a movement. This first annual event will highlight acts of kindness, community giving, and local partnerships, ensuring that every person, no matter their age, can be part of something bigger. All families, students and community members are invited to spread joy.
This family-friendly event will feature music, children’s activities, local nonprofits and businesses, a kindness parade, and a fun “Get Ladybugged” recognition campaign to celebrate and encourage acts of kindness across the community. Students, parents, teachers, and community members can nominate someone who embodies kindness with a small donation. Recognitions will be displayed on lawns around Burlington, spreading kindness throughout the town.
Whether through sponsorships, volunteering, or simply showing up to celebrate kindness, your support fuels the mission to make the world a better place, one act of kindness at a time.
HELPIS has long championed May as the Month of Kindness, challenging individuals and communities to help others without expecting anything in return. Since 2016, Massachusetts has officially recognized May as Kindness Month, and Burlington is leading the charge in making kindness a community-wide tradition.
