Burlington’s Winter Parking Ban Now in Effect

Avoid a ticket or even possibly having your car towed by parking it off the streets.

Burlington’s winter parking ban went into effect on Sunday and will be enforced until April 1.

During the ban no vehicles can be parked on the side of the road between 2 a.m. and 8 a.m. The ban is put in place to make snow removal easier for the Department of Public Works.

The ban is enforced by the Burlington Police Department. Offenders can be subject to an initial fine of $25 and subsequent fines of $50 per offense. Also, if a vehicle parked on the side of the road interferes with snow removal the town may have it towed at the owner’s expense.
