As always, there’s no shortage of great eateries in Burlington, and it seems like a ton of them have opened just in the last few months! This summer, check out some new spots that have recently opened or will be opening for the first time soon:
Eggholic, 10 Wall St.
This “authentic Indian street food” experience just in the plaza alongside X-Golf and near Temazcal. Stop by for “eggetarian” dishes like surti gotalo, shredded hardboiled eggs and sunny side up eggs in a special house sauce, and a classic Desi omelet with toast.
Goodnight Johnny’s, 154 Cambridge St.
When Goodnight Johnny’s opened in January, it was the talk of the town for offering something locals have been wanting for ages: A late-night spot with live music, good drinks and classic American cuisine. Check out their calendar for upcoming performances or drop in for the Bohemian Bacon Burger, the Blackened Shrimp Bowl, or the classic Fish and Chips. And don’t miss the key lime pie for desert!
Just Salad, 82 Burlington Mall Rd.
The latest addition to Burlington’s quick and healthy lunch spots, Just Salad offers homemade dressings, fresh-prepped proteins and lots of vegan and vegetarian options. Make your own, or pick from their offerings, including the Crispy Chicken Poblano, the Caribbean Shrimp Bowl, and the Buffalo chicken Wrap.
YAS Chicken, 90 Middlesex Tpk.
This fast-casual chicken spot had barely opened its doors when it got included in a Boston Globe write-up on the best spots in Burlington. Try the Yasville Hot spicy chicken sandwich, go for their tenders and wings, or try the seasonal special, the Krazy Kimchi. I don’t know what to tell you about a sandwich named “The Suffering,” though, you’ll have to check that one out yourself.
Terra Nossa Brazilian Grill, Burlington Mall Food Court
Terra Nossa is bringing authentic Brazilian barbecue to the food court experience. Their combo plates come with rice and beans; all you have to do is pick a meat (brisket, sausage, chicken wings and more) and a side (fried yucca, Brazilian banana, fried sweet potatoes, and other options).
Pho & Dough, Burlington Mall Food Court
Not to be outdone, the newly opened Pho & Dough is bringing Vietnamese treats like pho, bahn mi and mochi donuts to the Burlington Food Court.
Greco, Burlington Mall
The Burlington Select Board just recently gave the thumbs up to Greco Truly Greek, offering pita wraps, souvlaki, and build-your-own salads. Don’t sleep on the loukoumades, Greek-style donuts served the classic way with honey, walnuts and cinnamon or Tasos-style, with sea salt, caramel, tahini and toasted sesame seeds.
Coming Soon: Fiorella’s, Burlington Mall
This Italian restaurant got its liquor license to replace Parm back in October, but seems to have hit some construction snags along the way. But get excited now for toasted ravioli, goat cheese and glazed walnut salad, mushroom truffle prosciutto flatbread, and penne alla vodka, along with other classic Italian offerings.
Coming Soon: Tatte, 101 Middlesex Turnpike
big plans for a propertyThough this upscale bakery chain is a ways away from its ribbon cutting, buzz is already brewing for the popular Mediterranean-inspired cafe.
