Congressman Seth Moulton will visit the Burlington ICE facility on December 1 as part of an official oversight review. The congressman says the visit comes amid ongoing concerns about transparency, detainee treatment, and overall conditions at the site.
Moulton said the goal of the tour is to ensure the facility is operating responsibly and in accordance with federal law. He noted that elected officials have a responsibility to monitor how detainees are treated and to seek clarity from federal agencies when concerns arise.
The visit will include a walkthrough of the building and discussions with ICE personnel regarding removal prioritization, agent conduct, and day-to-day operations inside the holding facility.
