On Saturday, May 18, the Board of Health is holding an event for Burlington residents to safely dispose of household hazardous waste products.

Applicable materials include:

• FULL aerosol cans
• Fluorescent light bulbs
• Oil-based paints and stains
• Pool chemicals
• Thinners and solvents
• Driveway sealer, roofing tars
• Non-alkaline batteries
• Household chemicals
• Automotive products (oil, antifreeze, gas)
• Mercury-containing products
• Pesticides and chemical fertilizers
• Propane tanks
• Toxic cleaning products

Latex paint is not accepted. Dry latex paint and put it in the trash.

The event is to be held at Fox Hill Elementary School, 252 Fox Hill Road.
