One and all are cordially invited to the reception for the high school’s annual art exhibitionduring the school’s Open House. Hundreds of works from all high school art students will be on display: paintings, drawings, illustrations, mixed media, digital art and graphic work, ceramics, photography, and architectural models.

While there, if you’d like to leave a note of appreciation for one or more of the artists, we’ll have printed copies of this letter template available in the exhibition space . Your written messages can be handed to any art teacher, who will pass them on to the artists.

Also that evening, BHS alumnus Kayla Joliat will be having a reception of her work in the Cambridge Street Gallery, across from the school’s cafeteria. Kayla Joliat is an artist and educator based in Burlington. She graduated from Burlington High School in 2013 and went on to study at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Initially pursuing graphic design, she later transitioned to printmaking, where she developed a strong interest in print processes, tactility, and mark-making. Kayla previously worked as a letterpress printer at Goosefish Press in Boston’s South End, where she gained hands-on experience operating a Chandler & Price Press. She is currently in her fifth year as a paraprofessional in Graphic Communications at Shawsheen Valley Technical High School, while continuing to expand her independent studio practice.
