Since the 1600’s. Boston and the surrounding area has been at theĀ forefront of world-changing innovation, from starting the country’s first public school to becoming the first state to end slavery and giving birth to the telephone.Ā Boston was the site of the first organ transplant and more recent medical and biotech breakthroughs that have saved the lives of thousands.Ā That’s not to mention pioneering advances in everything from rockets to robotics.Ā In total, Boston-area inventors have contributed more than four hundred stand-out social, scientific, and commercial innovations and uncounted numbers that are less well known.Ā We are fortunate to have ALAN R. EARLS, a Boston-area writer and author who has covered high-tech innovation for more than thirty years.Ā And we are fortunate to live in Massachusetts!
The program is held at the Human Services Building, 61 Center Street, Burlington.Ā Doors open at 6:30 pm and the program begins at 7:00 pm. There is no admission fee.Ā We are handicap accessible.
