What is BHS TV?

After an extended hiatus, BCAT is excited to announce the return of BHS TV!

BHS TV is our after-school program for high-school students. BHS TV seeks to teach aspiring young creators the ins and outs of video production at BCAT. Members of BHS TV learn to create engaging and entertaining programming that turns a spotlight on the people and happenings of the Burlington community and beyond.

No experience? No problem. Under the guidance of Production Coordinator Chris Flaherty, members of BHS TV learn to use the tools and tricks to bring their productions to life. They’ll get a taste of every aspect of video production, in front of and behind the camera. The work of BHS TV members has included short films, studio interviews, coverage of events, musical performances, and much more.

Regular productions for BHS TV have included The Devil’s Sunrise, BHS’ Weekly Morning Announcements that air Friday mornings in Red Devil homerooms, and Speak of The Devils, a quarterly variety show that turns a spotlight on the culture of high school students in the BHS and Burlington community.

BCAT and BHS TV also offer services to any teacher or instructor who would like to create any instructional video, taking classroom education to a whole new level.

Many past members have gone on to produce their own programming for BCAT, and pursue careers in TV and video production.

We are excited to welcome back members old and new as we bring BHS TV back in-person for the 2021-2022 school year!
