Burlington’s COVID-19 vaccination clinic scheduled for Wednesday will continue as planned despite no doses coming in from the state.
Board of Health Chair Dr. Ed Weiner told BNEWS on Tuesday afternoon that the incoming urgent care Convenient MD reached out to him after seeing reports of the town struggling to get vaccine doses from the state and offered to help. Dr. Weiner said they offered 100 of their doses to replace what the town had been expecting to receive.
“They said they have the vaccine and wanted to be a good new neighbor,” he said. “They are now partnering with us and will provide the 100 doses.”
Dr. Weiner stressed that these doses will be distributed to the seniors who have already signed up for the clinic and were unable to get the vaccine last week. If you have an appointment show up for it this Wednesday to get your shot.
Convenient MD says on its website that the Burlington location is “coming soon” and will be in the building at 181 Cambridge Street.
