Latest Library News: In Person Trivia, Pumpkin Decorating, Preschool Science

Adult Programs

(In Person & Online) Trivia Night – Monday, October 25 at 7pm

Join us in-person or on Zoom for a fun friendly night of trivia! Trivia will consist of 3 rounds of general questions ranging from a variety of topics, a picture round, and a 3 question bonus round to end the night.  Play solo or with a team.

(In Person & Online) Last Thursday Book Discussion Group Discusses “An Evil Most Men Welcome” by Leta Serafim – October 28 at 7pm
A man is found murdered and initially the police suspect his wife, a desperately unhappy woman.  However, nothing is as it seems.  Not the victim, nor his family, and especially not the dark secret they all sought to conceal.  Join us as we discuss “An Evil Most Men Welcome” by Leta Serafim with the author leading the discussion! Youth Services Programs

This week we have our regularly scheduled storytimes. There is Lego Club, preschool science and two Halloween programs for kids. Teen Advisory Group will also meet this week.  For more information on the events and to register, visit our Programs calendar at www.burlingtonpubliclibrary.org

Programs

Lego Club – Monday, October 25th at 4pm

We provide the Legos – you bring your imagination! No registration required, for ages 5-11.

Teen Advisory Group – Wednesday, October 27th at 7pm

Teen Advisory Group is BACK! This group is open to students in 6th – 12th grade. Meet with Nicole to help plan future teen events, help plan, prepare and run larger children’s events, learn about new books and recommend games and DVDS for the library to purchase. Sometimes – we even decorate the children’s area.

Registration is required and begins October 15th.

Pumpkin Decoration – Thursday, October 28th at 6:30pm

For children and families. Bring your own pumpkin and we will supply all the non-carving decorating supplies! Registration opens one week before the event.

Preschool Science – Friday, October 29th at 11am

Enjoy fun and educational science. Registration opens one week before event, for caregivers with children ages 3-6.

Halloween Party – Saturday, October 30th at 11am 

Join us for trick-or-treating, games, and Halloween crafts! Signups begin one week before event, all ages are welcome.

Storytimes

Toddler Storytime – Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:30am

For caregivers with children ages 18-36 months.

Interact with your toddler to nurture a love of books.

Afternoon Storytime – Tuesdays at 3:30pm

Best for ages 3-8.

If you can’t join us for storytime in the mornings, you can enjoy stories, songs, and fun in the afternoons! 

Preschool Storytime – Wednesdays at 11am

For caregivers with children ages 3-6 years.

Help your preschooler get ready to read! Enjoy stories together!

Please note: Caregivers are expected to stay with children during all storytime sessions.
