Medical Device Company LeMaitre Vascular Approved to Expand Clean Room Facilities

A medical device company located in Burlington is set to expand its operations.

On July 21, the Planning Board approved a special permit for LeMaitre Vascular to renovate its existing 7,000 square foot location at 63 Second Avenue to allow for more clean room space.

LeMaitre makes devices, implants and services to help medical care providers to treat people with peripheral vascular disease.

“LeMaitre is a leading global innovator, manufacturer and marketer of devices for the treatment of peripheral vascular disease,” their website states. “We’re proud to provide vascular surgeons with the solutions they need to diagnose and heal their patients.

The new clean room space will help the company in its goal of expanding to further provide their services to doctors.

“Our focus remains on meeting the needs and exceeding the expectations of vascular surgeons with disposable and implantable vascular devices for use in both open vascular surgery and minimally invasive procedures,” the website says of the future of the company. “We will continue to expand and further diversify our product portfolio to meet the challenges of the future.”
