Parks & Recreation’s “Trucktober” Returns This Saturday

Parks & Recreation’s “Trucktober” event debuted in 2017 as a special event to celebrate the department’s 50th Anniversary, and its success and positive response from residents has made it a regular part of their calendar of programs.

This year’s Trucktober event will take place this weekend on The Town Common and feature food trucks from local favorites such as Augusta’s Chicken on The Road, Cousin’s Maine Lobster, and The Whoopie Wagon. There will also be a live band, lawn games, and inflatables.

A new addition this year is the Power Wheel Derby for residents age 2 through 8. Power Wheelers will race in small groups on a custom race track located on Center Street in front of Town Hall. Participants must pre-register.

Trucktober will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday October 15th. To register your child for the Power Wheel Derby, and for more information on Parks & Recreation special events, visit their website and check out their Fall Brochure.
