Another week, another photo to highlight.
This week’s photo features a brightly colored amphibian going about his day. It was sent in by Burlington resident Steve Morin and shows an orange salamander, or more specifically an eastern newt, that he saw while hiking up Mount Monadnock. The eastern newt is common in North America. It frequents small lakes, ponds, and streams or nearby wet forests.
Thanks for the photo, Steve!
