The Town of Burlington is offering a rain barrel program through the Great American Rain Barrel Company. Burlington Conservation and Department of Public Works work to get discounted rain barrels for Burlington residents.
Burlington is currently under an non-essential outdoor water ban because the town needs an emergency permit to connect to the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority supply line. To be able to connect to the MWRA system the town must be in a water emergency which requires a water ban.
It won’t be long before we start thinking of our lawns and landscaping and the more water we can save and reuse the better it is for the environment and your water bill. Rain barrels also help reduce stormwater runoff from roofs and the use of municipal water for watering.
Rain barrels are available for purchase from The Great American Barrel Company at the discounted price of $69.00.Â

Rain barrel pick up will be held Saturday, May 8th from 8am to 11am at Burlington Town Hall 29 Center St Burlington, MA.Â
