GIRLS VOLLEYBALL QUALIFY FOR POSTSEASON
Lady Devils Volleyball is 10-4 after winning back to back matches this past week over Woburn, 3-0, on Oct. 10. and 3-0 against Stoneham on Oct. 13. The Stoneham win qualified the team for a spot in the MIAA State Tournament in the coming weeks. The Spike Out Cancer Fundraiser was on the 13th: The team raised $6,200 for the American Cancer Society! Congratulations!Â
It will be a busy week for the team ahead as they have their final home regular season against Wayland on Oct. 16.Â
RED DEVIL FOOTBALL HAD BIG WIN OVER MELROSE
Red Devil Football came away with a 27-7 win over Melrose at Fred Green Memorial Field.Â
GIRLS SOCCER LOSE TO WOBURN, BOUNCE BACK ON SOCCER NIGHT
Lady Devils Soccer is 6-6-1 after a 0-2 loss against Woburn on Oct. 11. The team had a “Soccer Night” at Varsity Field on Oct. 13., where they won against Stoneham, 2-1. The Bedford Buccaneers will be the next opponent on “Senior Day” at Varsity Field on Oct. 16. Â
BOYS SOCCER SHUTOUT ON SOCCER NIGHT
The Red Devils Soccer team is now 0-14 after two 0-3 losses to Woburn Memorial on Oct. 11. and on Soccer Night, Oct. 13 against Stoneham. Burlington will host Watertown at Varsity Field on Oct. 18.Â
FIELD HOCKEY LOSE TO STONEHAM
Lady Devils Field Hockey is 3-9 after being shut out by the Spartans, 2-0, on Oct. 12. The girls will be at Victory Field in Watertown on Oct. 17.Â
GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY COMPETE AT BOB GLENNON TWILIGHT INVITATIONAL
The Lady Devils Cross Country team competed at the Twilight Invitational on Oct. 13. Three athletes competed: Mahi Kansagra, Ellery Schwoebel and Krista Agarwala. Here were the results of the meet:
59th place: Schwoebel, 24:27
62nd place: Agarwala, 24:34
149th place: Kansagra, 18:11
The Lady Devils will be at Varsity Field against Watertown High School on Oct. 17.Â
BOYS CROSS COUNTRY COMPETE AT BOB GLENNON TWILIGHT INVITATIONAL
The Red Devils Cross Country team competed at the Bob Glennon Twilight Invitational on Oct. 13. Twenty athletes competed in the invitational. Medals were awarded to Colin Irwin, Krish Almeida, Rohan Dutta and Roy Kanyike. You can check out the full results at athletic.netÂ

BOYS GOLF FINISH REGULAR SEASON
The Red Devil Golf team finished the season at 3-10 after a 41 to 31 win over Wilmington on Oct. 11. Burlington lost 19-6 to Billerica Memorial on Oct. 13. Four seniors from the team that be graduating: captains Mitch Devaux and Robbie Geswell; Peyton Matta; and Jackson Powers. Â
GIRLS SWIMMING LOSE BACK TO BACK MEETS
The Woburn and Burlington combined swim team is 1-5 after a 103-67 loss against the Belmont Marauders on Oct. 11. Ryley McCarthy qualified for the sectional championship in her 500 free performance (5:56:53). Burlington lost to Wakefield, 91-77, on Oct. 13. Megan Sheehy finished under seven minutes in her 500 free (6:49:87). Amelia Nagel clocked in with a time of 1:06:17 of 100 free.
The team will have one more meet to finish the regular season.Â
