RED DEVIL FOOTBALL SNAPS WAKEFIELD WIN STREAK

GIRLS SOCCER ONE-SIDED WIN OVER WAKEFIELD
Lady Devils Soccer is 4-3 after suffering two losses against Saugus on Sept. 25 and Melrose on Sept. 27, with goals from sophomore Briana Thomas and senior Morgan Ryan. Burlington had a big win over Wakefield on Sept. 29. Juniors Lacey Lauder and Kim Ochoa each scored one goal; seniors Shea McDonald and Morgan Ryan each scored one goal, and senior Char Collins scored two. The Devils will be at Varsity Field against the Wilmington Wildcats on Oct. 3. 

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL DROP TWO IN A ROW
Lady Devils Volleyball have fallen to 6-3 after two losses in the Middlesex League to Melrose, 1-3, on Sept. 26 and Wakefield, 2-3, on Sept. 28. The team bounced back over the 1-8 Wilmington Wildcats, 3-0 in the sets on Oct. 2. to move their record up to 7-3.

BOYS SOCCER SCORE FIRST GOAL OF THE SEASON
The Red Devils Soccer team are now 0-8 after a 0-3 loss with Melrose on Sept. 27 and a 1-2 loss to Methuen on Sept. 30.Burlington travels to Wilmington High School on Oct. 3. for a matchup with the Wildcats. 

FIELD HOCKEY LOSE BACK TO BACK OVER WARRIORS AND WILDCATS
Lady Devils Field Hockey are 2-6 after two 1-2 losses over Wakefield on Sept. 26 and Wilmington on Sept. 28. Senior captain Mia Lauder scored a goal for her team during the Wakefield match. 

The ladies were shut out in Arlington, 0-2, on Oct. 2. with this loss their record goes to 2-7.

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY LOSE TO WAKEFIELD
The Lady Devils Cross Country team are 0-3 after a loss to the Warriors. Wakefield scored 15 points, while the Devils’ scored 50. Here were the results of the meet:

7th place: Kayla Mackie, 22:52
12th place: Kritika Agarwala, 25:03
13th place: Ellery Schwoebel, 25:54

Lady Devils will be on the road against the Wilmington Wildcats on Oct. 3. 

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY LOSE CLOSE TO WAKEFIELD
The Red Devils Cross Country team are 1-2 after a 30-27 defeat against Wakefield on Sept. 26.  Here were the results of the meet:

BOYS GOLF WIN OVER WAKEFIELD MEMORIAL
The Red Devil Golf team is 2-6 after a 35.5 to 36.5 loss to Melrose on Sept. 28. Burlington was back in the win column, 38 to 34 over Wakefield on Sept. 29.

Burlington competed with the Stoneham Spartans on Oct. 2, where they had a heartbreaking loss of 34-38 as they now move to 2-7. 

GIRLS SWIMMING LOSE BACK TO BACK MEETS
The Woburn and Burlington combined swim team is 1-3 after a 88-82 loss against the Reading Rockets on Sept. 27.  On Sept. 29 the girls lost to Lexington 93 to 72. The 400 free relay team of Ryley McCarthy, Sarah Herbst, Ava Eldridge and Kayleigh McCarthy qualified for States with a time of 4:12. 

Belmont will be the next opponent on Oct. 11.
