RED DEVIL FOOTBALL CLASHES WITH BEDFORD
As they do every year, the Red Devils are preparing for a Thanksgiving showdown against their longtime rivals, the Bedford Buccaneers. The teams were bitter adversaries in the 1970s, and after several decades facing off against Lexington and Concord teams, the Devils once again faced the Bucs in 2021. The Buccaneers trounced Burlington in both 2021 and 2022, with scores of 58-18 and 48-7 respectively. The Red Devils will do their best to end the Bedford team’s winning streak, hopefully with the advantage of their home turf.

The game is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 23 at 10 a.m. at Varsity Field.

Eleven seniors will depart from the team after the holiday: Charlie Andriolo, Robert Nevola, Liam Welch, Alexander Mayanja, Donatus Tequia, Joey Poland, Kevin Conte,  Haris Mukanga Jack Tzovaras and Joshua Pupa. Good luck in the future, gentlemen!

The Boston Herald has announced the Middlesex League All Conference First Team: Poland, Andriolo and Charlie Hanafin are among the athletes. The ML All Stars are Poland, Andriolo, Hanafin, Anthony Gerrior, Tyler Vadnais and Ryan Brooks. Congratulations to everyone!

Poland has also been named the Middlesex League MVP, this season with a total of 1,507 rushing yards, 19 touchdowns and 135 tackles. Congratulations Joey!Â
