Red Devil Round Up: Track Teams Compete in Pentathlon, Volleyball & Tennis Return from Break

BOYS BASEBALL GET BIG WIN IN WILMINGTON
The Boys Baseball team defeated Wilmington handedly 12-2 on the road on April 23. The team followed that game up with a 6-4 win against Stoneham on Friday. Burlington is now 6-3 after a 5-3 win against Belmont in their home opener. They will be on the road in Woburn on Wednesday and another home game against Winchester on Friday.

GIRLS SOFTBALL LOSE CLOSE GAME
Girls Softball lost a close game of 4-5 on the road in Wilmington on April 23. They are currently 4-6, and will be on the road against Winchester on Friday afternoon, and return home on Sunday to face Woburn. 

GIRLS LACROSSE LOSE CLOSE MATCHUPS
Girls Lacrosse lost 9-13 in Billerica last Thursday afternoon. Top scorers in the game were CJ Tremblay, Georgia Bilodeau and Ava Robitaille who each had two goals.
The team then fell 8-10 against North Andover this past Saturday. Robitille was the top scorer with four goals. The team currently have a record of 3-6, and this week they will travel to Belmont on Wednesday, and host Woburn on Friday. 

BOYS LACROSSE LOSE BY EIGHT
Boys Lacrosse lost 9-17 at home against Westford Academy this past Thursday evening. Top scorers were Jason Kane with 5 goals, and Cam Shanahan with 3. They are currently 4-6 and will have a home game against Belmont on Wednesday night, and then an away game in Woburn on Friday. 

GIRLS TENNIS BACK IN ACTION
The Girls Tennis team is 3-5 after a 2-3 defeat against Wilmington on the road on Monday afternoon. Winners in the match were Sonali Patel in  singles and Therese Kosinski & Phoenix Mahoney in doubles. They will be at home against Stoneham on home on Wednesday and at Belmont on Friday. 

BOYS TENNIS TO FACE THREE OPPONENTS AT HOME
Boys Tennis are currently 4-3. This week they have three opponents at home: Wilmington on Tuesday, Stoneham on Wednesday, and Belmont on Thursday. 

BOYS VOLLEYBALL TO FACE WOBURN, GREATER LOWELL TECH
Boys Volleyball are 1-8 with two home games this week against Woburn on Tuesday and Greater Lowell Tech on Thursday. 

GIRLS TRACK COMPETE IN MSTCA PENTATHLON 
Girls Track competed in the MSTCA Pentathlon last Friday at North Andover High School. Here were a couple of the results. 

100m Hurdles:
11th place- Leila Gilligan – 17.51 (Personal Record)
High Jump:
10th place – Brooke Baglio 1.42

The girls are 1-1 and will have their next meet at home against Watertown on Thursday afternoon. 

BOYS TRACK COMPETE IN MSTCA PENTATHLON, HAMMER INVITE
Boys Track competed in the MSTCA Pentathlon last Friday at North Andover High School. Here were a couple of the results. 

Leon Sekandi:
5th place- 110m Hurdles 15.85 (Personal Record)

Shot Put:
3rd place- James Mutyabi – 12.48m
4th place- Ryan Brooks – 12.41m (Personal Record)

They also competed in the Hammer Invite at Lexington High School this past Friday with everyone in attendance achieving a new personal best. Here are a couple of the top finishers. 

Christopher Williams:
9th place- 34.91 (Personal Record)

William Morrison:
12th place- 30.36m ’ (Personal Record)

William Preston:
13th place- 27.18m (Personal Record)
