Red Devil Round Up: Track Teams Earn Personal and Season Bests at Bay State Eagle Pentathlon, Mass Hammer Invite

BOYS TRACK SEE SEASONAL AND PERSONAL BEST AT BAY-STATE EAGLE PENTATHLON
The boys outdoor team delivered an impressive performance in the Bay State Running Eagle Invite pentathlon this past Friday, with strong finishes across the board and a number of personal best marks.

The girls outdoor senior class delivered a strong all-around performance in the Bay State Running Eagle Invite pentathlon this past Friday, with multiple top finishes and several personal and season best marks across the five events.

BOYS LACROSSE BACK IN THE WIN COLUMN
Burlington boys lacrosse won 12-7 on the road at the Swampscott Big Blues last Thursday. They are now 6 and 3 and will have a road game on Monday night at Wilmington (4 and 3) and then they will host  Wakefield (8 and 1) on Wednesday. 

GIRLS LACROSSE LOSE BACK-TO-BACK GAMES
Burlington girls lacrosse lost back-to-back road games. Last Wednesday, they were outscored 13-5 by the Central Catholic Cougars. The Bedford Bucs handed the Red Devils another loss this past Friday, 17-3.  Burlington is now 4 and 6 and will have two games this week: theWilmington Wildcats (5 and 4) visit the Devils on Monday evening, and then they will be on the road at the Wakefield Warriors (5 and 3) on Wednesday afternoon. 

BOYS BASEBALL MIXED RESULTS OVER APRIL BREAK
The boys baseball team had mixed results in a span of three games during April Break. Burlington lost in a close game of 3-2 on the road to Wakefield last Wednesday.
They had a 9-5 victory over Wilmington on the road this past Friday. 

Saturday they faced off against the Cambridge Rindge & Latin Falcons. The game went into extra innings, with a score of 7-7 at the bottom of the seventh. The Falcons scored in the eighth, wrapping things up at 8-7.

Now at 3 and 6, the Devils will have a busy week with three games on deck: home against the  Stoneham Spartans (4 and 4) on Monday, a rematch at home against the undefeated Wakefield (6 and 0) on Tuesday, and at the Belmont Marauders (5 and 4) on Wednesday. 

GIRLS SOFTBALL LOSE THREE GAMES OVER BREAK
Girls softball lost three games at home during April Break: 14-1 over Wakefield last Wednesday, 12-1 against Wilmington this past Friday, and 6-3 over the Woburn Tanners this past Saturday.
Burlington is 2 and 7 and will host Belmont (2 and 6) on Wednesday and visit Wakefield (6 and 2) on Friday.Â
