BOYS VOLLEYBALL OPENS THIRD SPRING SEASON
Burlington boys volleyball started off their season a week early, and are off to a strong start with a 3 and 1 record.
In the last week of March, The Red Devil began the season with a 3-o road win over the Medford Mustangs on Thursday March 26, followed by a 3-1 victory in their home opener against Billerica on Friday March 27. Burlington then picked up another straight-set win, defeating Framingham 3-0 on the road last Tuesday March 31.
The Belmont Marauders handed the Red Devils their first loss of the year after a 3-0 shutout last Thursday April 2 on the road.
Now at 3 and 1, Burlington heads into a busy stretch with three matches this week. Burlington will host the 1 and 1 Winchester Red & Black on Monday, travel to face the 0 and 2 Wakefield Warriors on Wednesday ,and return home Friday for a rematch with 1 and 1 Medford.
GIRLS LACROSSE SPLIT FIRST TWO GAMES
Burlington girls lacrosse opened the season with a 1 and 1 record, earning a road win before losing in their home opener.
The Red Devils began the year with a close 10-8 victory over the Weston Wildcats on the road last Monday. Burlington followed that with a 12-6 loss at home against the Ipswich Tigers on Saturday.
Now at 1 and 1, the Devils return home this week for two matchups. Burlington will host the 0 and 2 Watertown Raiders on Tuesday, followed by a match against the 2 and 0 Lexington Minutemen on Thursday.

BOYS LACROSSE SEARCHING FOR FIRST WIN
Burlington boys lacrosse is still searching for its first win after losing its first two matchups of the season.
The Red Devils lost 9-5 at home to the Chelmsford Lions last Thursday. Sophomores Cameron Bonnell and Jake Griffin each scored two goals, while Joey Wilson had one.
Junior Jake Robitaille, sophomore Cameron Bonnell and junior Brandon DeRosa each scored a goal in the 14-3 loss against the Reading Rockets this past Saturday at home.
Burlington is on the road this week for two matchups. The Devils will face the 1 and 1 Watertown Raiders on Tuesday, then travel to take on the 2 and 1 Lexington Minutemen on Thursday.
REMAINING SPRING SPORTS BEGIN THIS WEEK
Several Burlington High School spring teams are set to begin their seasons this week.
Boys baseball opens the year at home against the Reading Rockets on Monday afternoon.
Girls softball also begins its season Monday, traveling to take on the Reading.
Both tennis teams are ready to finally use their rackets after weather postponements last week. The girls team will host the Lexington Minutemen, while the boys team travels to Lexington for its opener both on Monday afternoon.
Outdoor track is set to start Wednesday, with Burlington hosting the Wilmington Wildcats at Varsity Field.
Looking ahead, co-ed unified basketball will begin its season after school vacation, with a home matchup against Arlington Spyponders scheduled for April 27.
