SOFTBALL CONTINUE TO DOMINATE OPPONENTS
The softball team (6-0 overall) had a big shutout win over Watertown, 19-0, on April 14. Burlington had a game the following day in Tyngsborough where they won 3-1 on April 15. Burlington had another win over Wahconah Regional High School on April 18, 7-2, at Westborough High School. The Devils will be on the road on April 19 at Pine Banks Field in Melrose.
GIRLS/BOYS OUTDOOR TRACK TAKE ON WATERTOWN
The girls (1-1 overall) and boys (2-0 overall) both had wins over the Watertown Red Raiders on April 15. Both had blowout wins, with the girls winning 118-11 and the boys 128-7. You can check out the results for both teams by clicking here.Â
BOYS VOLLEYBALL LOSES IN THREE CONSECUTIVE GAMES
Boys volleyball (2-3 overall) competed against Winchester, Arlington and Medford last week. On April 11, the team was at home against Winchester, where they had a shutout loss of 0-3. Burlington lost another game on April 13, 1-3, over Arlington, then they competed in Medford on April 14 where the Devils lost by one, 2-3. The team will return to the court on April 25 at Woburn Memorial High School.
GIRLS LACROSSE ON THE ROAD
Girls lacrosse (1-3 overall) had an away game matchup at Lincoln Street Field in Lexington on April 12. Burlington lost by five over their opponent, 11-16. The Devils had another road game with Billerica Memorial High School on April 18, where they won a tight contest 12-11. Burlington be at Varsity Field on April 20 as they host Methuen High School.
BOYS LACROSSE ONE- SIDED WIN OVER LEXINGTON
Boys lacrosse (2-3 overall) had a big win over Lexington High School, 15-7, on April 12. On April 18 the team was at Dracut High School against Westford Academy, where they lost by four in the 6-10 defeat. Burlington will return to Varsity Field on April 20 with the opponent to be announced.
BASEBALL COMPETE AGAINST TWO MIDDLESEX TEAMS
Boys baseball (2-3 overall) had two games late last week against the Stoneham Spartans and the Watertown Red Raiders. In Stoneham on April 12, the Red Devils lost 1-2. But the Red Devils bounced back with a 10-5 win over Watertown on April 14. Melrose High School will visit the Francis Wyman Baseball Field on April 19.
GIRLS TENNIS RALLY OVER WATERTOWN
Girls tennis (3-3 overall) had a blowout win over Watertown, 4-1, on April 12. Single winners in the match came from sophomore Sonali Patel and senior Val Kin. In the double matches, winners were junior Jules Piscatelli and sophomore Mason Alongi, and sophomores Olivia Dubrava and Phoenix Mahoney. Burlington returns to the action on April 26 at Wilmington High School.
BOYS TENNIS SHUTOUT WATERTOWN
Boys tennis (3-3 overall)Â shut out Watertown High School on April 12, 5-0, at Rahanis Park. Singles winners were sophomore Soham Shah, and juniors Aditya Pathak and Andrew Perl. In the double matches, winners were senior Brendan Gray, Â junior Althan Nguyen, and sophomores Rohan Parikh and Abhay Jhumat. Burlington will return to action on April 24 at the Dobbins Tennis Courts in Wakefield.
UNIFIED BASKETBALL WINS OVER LEXINGTON
Burlington Unified Basketball (1-0 overall) defeated Lexington High School on April 12, 34-23. You can check out the full game here. The Red Devils will be back at the BHS Vanella Gym on May 3 against Reading Memorial.
