BOYS VOLLEYBALL BOUNCES BACK TO WIN OVER WINCHESTER
Volleyball (1-0) overall had a five set match over Winchester, 3-2, on March 31st. The Devils lost the first two sets 24-26 (1) and 23-25 (2). After being down 0-2, the team regrouped and won sets 3 and 4, at 25-15 and 25-23 respectively. The game was tied at 2-2 after four sets, so a fifth “sudden death” round declared the winner. In this set, either team has to reach the set point of fifteen to win it. Burlington passed by Winchester as they won it by two in the set, 15-13.
The Red Devils are on the road at Wakefield Memorial on April 4th.
GIRLS LACROSSE AT KNOWLTON TURF FOR SEASON OPENER
Girls lacrosse will kick the season off on April 4th at Winchester High School.
BOYS LACROSSE START THE SEASON AT HOME WITH WINCHESTER
Boys lacrosse will start the regular season on April 4th at the Marshall Simonds Middle School Turf Field against Winchester High School at 4:30 pm. You can catch the action live at our BCATTV Facebook page.
SOFTBALL BLOWSOUT WINCHESTER
The softball team (1-0 overall) had a blowout win in Winchester 15-1 on April 3rd. Burlington will have the home opener at Marvin Field on April 5th against Reading.
BASEBALL LOSES BY 8 AT HOME AGAINST WINCHESTER
Boys baseball (0-1 overall) had their home opener at Francis Wyman against Winchester on April 3rd, where they lost 18-10. They will be on the road at Reading Memorial on April 5th.
GIRLS TENNIS SHUTOUT BY WINCHESTER:
Girls tennis (0-2 overall) began the season in Winchester on March 30, where the team was shutout 0-5 in the matches. Reading defeated Burlington,4-2, on April 3rd. Olivia Dubrava and Phoenix Mahoney got the win at 2nd doubles. The Devils will be on the road in Lexington on April 5th.
BOYS TENNIS WIN ONE MATCH IN LOSS IN HOME OVER WINCHESTER:
Boys tennis (1-1 overall) finished 1-4 in a loss to Winchester on March 30. In the singles matches, sophomore Soham Shah lost both of his matches 6-1 in the first game and 6-2 in the second. Junior Aditya Pathak finished 6-2 and 7-5 in his losses. Junior Andrew Perl won in his single match 6-1 in the first game and 6-4 in the third game. Winchester won in the second game over Perl, 6-2. In doubles, sophomore Rohan Parikh and junior Arnesh Yeola were shut out in the first game 6-0 and scored 3 in the 6-3 loss in the second game. Lastly, senior Brendan Gray and sophomore Krish Soni lost in both games with the score of 6-2. The team won against Reading Memorial, 4-1, won April 3rd. Burlington will be at Rahanis on April 5th for a match up against Lexington.
GIRLS/BOYS OUTDOOR TRACK START SEASON AT VARSITY FIELD ON SATURDAY
The track teams start on April 8 with a match up against Melrose High School at Varsity Field.
