Most of Burlington’s spring sports teams have finished their seasons, but boys track and both boys and girls soccer teams still have stuff going on. Here’s the latest:
BOYS TRACK FRESHMAN COMPETES IN PHILADELPHIA
Freshman Shane Sheehan competed in the the Triple Jump at the New Balance Nationals Outdoor competition at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, finishing in 54th place out of 62 with a 12.05-meter jump. The event closed out the Red Devils 2024 outdoor track season. Eight seniors have departing from the team: Kevin Conte, Charles Desmond, Dylan Giles, Colin Irwin, Matthew Maniscalco, Alex Murray, Marcel Silva and Julian Sacca.
GIRLS AND BOYS SOCCER HOLD SECOND ALUMNI GAMES
Both the Burlington High Soccer teams held their second alumni games on the weekend of June 9. “Overall, it’s so great for us to see our former players and hear how they are doing out in the real world and see that they are still passionate about soccer and Burlington!” said girls head coach Daniella DeSousa, who hosted the event alongside boys head coach Andrew Deane.
