GIRLS & BOYS TRACK COMPETE AT NEW BALANCE NATIONALS
Junior Grace Hanafin competed in the 200m at the New Balance Nationals in Boston. Hanafin finished with a new school record time of 25.60. Congrats Grace on the accomplishment!
In addition, seven athletes from the boys track team were there as well, including Rithikh Prakash (2 Mile and 5K); Elijah Wolinski (Pentathlon); Julian Sacca (Shot Put); and Robbie Benjamin, Colin Murray, Tyler Callahan and Charles Desmond (Shuttle Hurdle team). Prakash finished the 2 Mile in 63rd place with a time of 9:20.84 and finished in 5th place in the 5K at 15:00.78. Wolinkski came in 9th place in the Pentathlon. Sacca came in 25th place at 44′ 8.75″ for his performance in Shot Put. Benjamin, Murray, Callahan and Desmond came in 26th place with a time of 34.27 in Shuttle Hurdles. Congrats to everyone who competed over the weekend.
ARCHBISHOP WILLIAMS DEFEAT GIRLS HOCKEYÂ IN MIAA “ELITE 8” ROUND
Burlington was unable to get past the number one seeded Archbishop Williams in the “Elite 8” round of the MIAA playoffs after they were shut out 3-0 on March 8. Two seniors are departing from the team including Abby Souza and Elizabeth Boulos. Check out the full game in its entirety here.Â
SHARON HIGH SCHOOL DEFEATS BURLINGTON IN MIAA “ROUND OF 16”
