Red Devils Softball Players & Coach Named to Boston Globe All-Scholastics  

Adding to their Division 2 Championship, Burlington High School’s Red Devils softball team has received accolades from the Boston Globe. 

Head Coach Kristen Farrell has been honored as the Division 2 Coach of the Year. A former Red Devils player, the class of 2003 graduate led her alma mater to its first state title with a season record of 21-4. Playing her college ball at UMass Lowell, Farrell took the reins in 2009 leading the team to 223 wins and 12 consecutive Middlesex Freedom championships.

Pitcher Cecelia Imbimbo made the list of Athletes of the Year to go with her back-to-back Middlesex League MVP awards. Imbimbo struck out 315 hitters in 166 innings and recorded a 1.40 ERA as well as being a four-year honor roll student who will play at Merrimack College.

Imbimbo was also named to the Middlesex League All Stars joined by teammates Madison King, Shea McDonald, Morgan Ryan, Cassidy Soohoo on that listing.

Up and coming second baseman BHS Sophomore Madison King received an Honorable Mention.
