Reminder – Election Day This Saturday

The end of the campaign trail is in site. This is a reminder that Election Day in Burlington is this Saturday, April 9th. Polls will be located at the Burlington High School gymnasium, and be open from 8 a.m. to 8 pm.

As far as contested races, there are two on the ballot this year. There are three candidates vying for two open seats on the School Committee. Those candidates are Incumbent Christine Monaco, and newcomers Jeremy Brooks and Melissa Massardo. Longtime School Committee member Tom Murphy has decided to not seek re-election. Murphy has served twenty-seven years on the School Committee.

There are also three candidates for two open seats on the Board of Health. They are Incumbent Dr. Ed Weiner, and newcomers Janice Cohen and Gayle DaMore. Dr. Wayne Saltsman, after serving fifteen years on the Board of Health, is not seeking re-election.
