The Burlington Public Schools District is looking for input from the community as it looks to hire a new director to the district that is meant to help students of all backgrounds, genders, sexuality and races feel included and equitable.
“The district is wrapping up its initial interviews with candidates for the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion this week,” a blog post reads. “The finalists will each meet with three stakeholder groups (staff, students, and parents) as part of the final round during the second and third week of March. If you are interested in submitting a question or serving on one of the stakeholder groups, please take a few minutes to complete the form below.”
The survey starts with a job description for the position before asking the respondent which school(s) they are connected with and what their role is. They ask for questions for the candidates and also ask about the interest level in participating in a group interviewing candidates.
