School Officials Encourage Community to Follow Fox Hill Project

Burlington School Building Committee Chair Melissa Massardo and Superintendent of Schools Eric Conti are encouraging community members to follow the redevelopment of the Fox Hill Elementary School through the project’s website, FoxHillBuildingProject.com.

“At Burlington’s town meeting on February 16th, 2022, members passed Article 11 approving $1.5 million in funding for the Fox Hill Elementary School project’s feasibility study,” Massardo and Conti wrote in a letter to the community on March 1. “The Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) has accepted the Fox Hill School Building project into its core program, and thus has agreed to reimburse the town roughly 45.5% of eligible project costs. This new elementary school will take many years to design and build and we welcome your participation throughout the project.”

The website includes an overview of the MSBA process, information on the organizations participating in the development, and frequently asked questions about the process, among other information.
