Select Board Appoints John Danizio Next Town Administrator

The Select Board voted unanimously to appoint Assistant Town Administrator John Danizio to the position of Town Administrator, following Paul Sagarino’s departure from the role in May

Each member of the board expressed their confidence in Danizio to step up to the responsibilities of town administrator. Working for the town for the last six years Danizio brings stability to the transition, already being familiar with the town operations and departments.

In accepting the position Danizio thanked the board for their compliments and kind words, crediting the staff and team at town hall.

“I am truly humbled and excited for this opportunity. The last six years have been some of the best of my career. Working here in Burlington truly has become a second home to me,” Danizio continued. “Looking forward to continuing all the great work and hopefully building on that foundation that’s already there. I’m honored by the support of the board, eager to get started and planning on a smooth transition. And I can’t promise to be perfect, but I can promise it won’t be for lack of effort. I will certainly promise to work tirelessly for this community to keep it the best around.”
