With the recent announcement of Town Administrator Paul Sagarino’s resignation next May, Sagarino made a formal statement on his departure at the February 24 Select Board meeting. Members of the board expressed their sincere thanks for Sagarino’s service and contributions to the Town of Burlington.
The town does have a succession plan in place for which Assistant Town Administrator John Danizio has been groomed. The Town Administrator position does not require an internal or external search.
Vice-Chair Mike Espejo made a motion for the board to consider the appointment of Assistant Town Administrator John Danizio to the position of Town Administrator at their meeting on March 10, and thereafter enter into contract negotiations for the position of Town Administrator.
The motion passed unanimously.
