Shawsheen Tops Foxborough in Division 5 Super Bowl

The Shawsheen Rams defeated the Foxborough Warriors in the Division 5 Super Bowl, with a final score of 14-0 and a season record of a perfect 13-0.

The game started with impeccable form from both defenses, as neither team scored in the first three quarters. But Shawsheen quarterback and safety Sidney Tildsley secured the win with two rushing touchdowns in the fourth quarter. He also had an interception on defense.

This is Shawsheen’s second title in school history: They bested Blue Hills Regional High School in 2010. They made it as far as the big game but came up short of the title in 1978, 2022. The North Reading Hornets defeated them two years ago, 44-28.

Sixteen seniors will be graduating from the Shawsheen team this spring, including Tildsley, who is from Billerica, and Burlington line Joseph Menkello.
