We have our photo of the year!
The votes from our Facebook poll have been tabulated and we are pleased to announce that Mary Leach’s photo won our 2022 Photo of the Year contest.
Mary’s winning photo is a demonstration that sometimes it’s good to change your perspective. It shows a daytime moon over Mary Cummings Park. The photo almost didn’t get taken, however, because as Mary explains she was there to take a shot in the opposite direction.
“Sometimes the best view is the one behind you,” she explains. “I went to Mary Cummings Park after work today to see the sunset. Instead, the moon rising was the more spectacular view. Glad I turned away from the sun!”
