‘Tis The Season For Girl Scout Cookies

The Burlington Girl School Scouts will begin the cookie season on Tuesday, Dec. 6.

Troop Leader Linda McNamee says online sales have begun, but for local people who want to save in shipping costs will have a host of options for buying their favorite cookies.

People will begin seeing local Girl Scout Troops at various businesses in town beginning Saturday, Dec. 10, at 10 a.m. Sales will only be on weekends through Feb. 12.

“Each box of cookies purchased help girls master skills in goal-setting, decision-making, money management, people-skills and business ethics,” said McNamee. “The Girl Scout program builds girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.”

This year will feature a new cookie — Raspberry Rally — available only online.  These are thin, crispy cookies infused with raspberry flavor, dipped in a chocolaty coating.
