An article was presented to the Town Meeting to approve a land donation. Town Administrator Paul Sagarino explained a resident offered to donate the parcel of land and the town showed interest.
“The island between Old Peach Orchard Road and Peach Orchard Road,” Sagarino said. ”Public Works thought the property had value to the town in that you have water and sewer infrastructure running under there.”
Both the Select Board and Land Use Committees voted in favor of acquiring the land. The parcel will be under the jurisdiction of the Public Works Department.
A similar article for a land donation on Skilton Lane was withdrawn from the warrant due to a title issue on ownership.
