Town of Burlington Veterans Day Ceremony 

The Town of Burlington Veterans Service Office and the Allied Veterans Council are inviting everyone to honor those who serve. The Town of Burlington’s Veteran Day ceremony will take place Thursday, November 11th at 10am. The commemoration will take place at the Veterans section of the Burlington Town Common, across from the Burlington Fire Station at 21 Center Street.

The keynote speaker is Greg Irvine who joined the Army in 1981 and served two highly decorated tours. Following Irvine’s military service he became a municipal Detective Sergeant police officer in Massachusetts. Later moving to Arizona he was promoted to Sergeant of a gang unit and was a member of SWAT. Irvine is now Chief of Police at Boston Medical Center.

The ceremony is also set to feature the Burlington High School Marching Band, Percussion Section, Drum Majors and bagpipist Joseph McGrath. This event is rain or shine. 

In addition to the commemoration, Tuscan Kitchen will provide every Burlington, MA veteran plus one with a family style meal on Veterans Day. Guests are encouraged to bring donation items in individual packages: drink mixes, ramen noodles, power bars, hot cocoa and trail mix.
